2023 Raccoon Creek High School Prep Program
This program is designed for boys and girls interested in playing High School Golf, whether their goal is making the team or players already on a team looking to improve their tournament performance and team standing.
Our program is focused on players in grades 7-10. We will provide these players with the tools they need to develop and improve their competitive game. This program will work, schedule-wise, in conjunction with our PGA Jr League 17U program. H. S. Prep program times will be on Saturday mid-day, afternoons, or evenings.
The program will emphasize how full swing and short game skills combine with the ability to focus and manage the mental side of the game to determine a players’ potential as a tournament player. Players who don’t grasp the importance of all these different areas will not excel. We will work diligently to help your player improve their Putting, Chipping, Pitching and Full Swing skills. We will also work on course management, strategy, scoring skills, practice habits, mental approach, focus, and ability to overcome adversity on the course that occurs during a round of golf.
This program will also acquaint participants with other aspiring high school players they can join for practice and on-course play outside of our program. Our participants will be encouraged to support one another throughout the summer and the High School Golf seasons. Note: Players will be walking during the playing lessons and during the practice tournaments as they will in HS events. Green Fees and range balls are included for all on-course sessions. Participation in other (outside) stroke play tournaments is also recommended.
